Accessibility statement

Last updated

We want everyone to be able to use Grow & Guard, including people who use assistive technology. This statement explains what we do, what we know still needs work and how to contact us.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have checked the site ourselves, including automated accessibility checks, but we have not yet had an independent accessibility audit.

What we do

  • Pages use headings, lists, tables and landmarks in a logical order, so screen readers can navigate them.
  • A "Skip to content" link appears when you press Tab, and every link and button can be used with a keyboard.
  • Text and buttons are designed to meet WCAG colour contrast levels, and you can zoom text to 200% without losing content.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Animations stop if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • We write in plain English and explain technical terms.
  • The site does not use autoplaying video or audio.

Known limitations

  • Some wide comparison tables scroll sideways on small screens.
  • Websites we link to, including providers' sites, are run by other companies and may not meet the same standard.

Asking for help or another format

If you have difficulty using any part of the site, or need information in a different format such as plain text or large print, email hello@growandguard.co.uk. Tell us the page address and what you need. We aim to reply within five working days.

Reporting a problem

We are always looking to improve. If you find a problem that is not listed above, please email us with the page address and a description, and we will try to fix it.

Further help

If you are not happy with our response and think we have not made reasonable adjustments, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can give free advice about your rights under the Equality Act 2010.
