Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy a product or open an account, the provider may pay us a commission. You do not pay any more because you used our link.
We label these links clearly. Each affiliate button or link carries an Ad marker, and every page that contains affiliate links has a notice at the top saying so. Affiliate links on this site go through a short redirect starting /go/, and they carry the rel="sponsored" attribute so search engines know they are commercial.
Where we are with affiliate programmes
Grow & Guard launched in November 2026. We are applying to affiliate programmes run by some of the companies we write about, such as hosting companies, software providers, a business account provider and VPN services. Links marked Ad may already be affiliate links or may become affiliate links once a programme accepts us. We label them as advertising from the start so you always know which links could earn us money.
Links that are not adverts
Links to official sources such as GOV.UK, HMRC, the FCA and FSCS, and links to providers we do not have a commercial relationship with, are not adverts and are not marked Ad.
How commission affects our content
- We decide our rankings using the criteria on how we review before considering commercial relationships.
- Providers cannot pay to be included, to rank higher or to change what we say.
- We include products without an affiliate programme when they are a good fit, and we point out weaknesses of products that do pay commission.
