We collect as little personal data as possible. This notice explains what we do collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law.
Who we are
Grow & Guard is a trading name. The company that operates this website is the data controller for personal data collected through it. Its details are on our terms and legal page. You can contact us about privacy at hello@growandguard.co.uk.
What we collect
When you browse the site
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not ask you to create an account. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested so it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without using cookies or local storage and without building a profile of you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a secure website and understanding which pages are useful.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address, name (if you include it) and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix any issue you report. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. We keep correspondence for up to two years unless we need it longer to deal with a complaint.
When you click an affiliate link
Links marked Ad take you to another company's website through a short redirect on our domain. We do not pass your personal data to that company. Once you arrive on their site, their own privacy and cookie policies apply, and they or their affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from us.
Who we share data with
Our service providers process data on our behalf under contract: Cloudflare (hosting, security, cookieless analytics and email forwarding) and our email provider. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it and, in some cases, to have it transferred. Email us to use any of these rights. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
We will update this notice if the way we handle data changes, and change the date at the top.
